Un Paso Alante con Nelson “Mateo” Gonzalez: Bomba Dance

We are excited to announce Nelson 'Mateo' Gonzalez will lead this cycle of Un Paso Alante (UPA). Mateo was first taught Bomba and Plena by his grandfather, and master Plenero, Benny Ayala.  Mateo has been with Los Pleneros de la 21 since he was a 'chamaco' in LP21's community workshops for children!  He will be teaching three UPA sessions focusing on Bomba dance on July 25, 26, and 27th.  This workshop offers participants the opportunity to learn about form within the different styles of Bomba.
