As part of Los Pleneros de la 21’s kick-off celebrations, 40 Años de Bomba y Plena Boricua y más, we are proud to host master dancer and teacher, Juan Manuel Usera, for an installment of our 40th anniversary-themed Un Paso Alante classes (UPA) - Retornos, Piquetes y Bámbula.⁠

Known for his footwork and dedicated teaching, Juan Manuel Usera is a fourth generation Bomba practitioner who has been performing, presenting, and educating audiences of all ages and backgrounds for over thirty years. He has performed and taught with many, including LP21 as the lead instructor for the Bomba and Plena Children’s Workshop for ten years, imprinting dozens of today's next generation practitioners.⁠
