Join us as we close our 40 años de Bomba y Plena Boricua y Más celebrations with the official start of the Bomba and Plena Children’s Workshops (BPCW).
The BPCW kicks off its 2023-24 year with a special theme to honor the past, present, and future decades of Los Pleneros de la 21’s performing and teaching of Puerto Rican cultural expressions: El Legado de la 21: Next Gen Pa’lante.
In addition to classes and one-on-one exchanges with BPCW staff and teachers, this first day of classes will feature a very special performance by past members and graduates of the children's workshops! Hosting this unique kick-off is long-time LP21 partner and peer Barrio-based arts education institution: the East Harlem Tutorial Program!
