Bomba and Plena Community Workshop Student Recital

The theme of this year’s recital is inspired by the 40th anniversary of Los Pleneros de La 21 and their incredible legacy, not only as a performance ensemble but as a cultural institution. El Jardin de La 21 is our focus this year. With gratitude, we reflect on the seeds that were planted by our elders long ago, admire the fruit that we have been given, and be intentional with the seeds that we are planting to ensure the growth, transmission and continuity of our traditions long after we are gone.

Paying homage to the 40th anniversary, this year’s repertoire is inspired by some of LP21's greatest hits and each cohort will give us their rendition of these classic songs.
