Artist Talk - El Imaginario de LP21na

June 24th, 1pm-3pm

Free Admission | Taller Boricua Gallery at the Imaginario de Los Pleneros de la 21 exhibit

Join us for a moderated discussion, a sharing of stories, memories, and history of Los Pleneros de la 21 and the 40 year living legacy of a Bomba and Plena ensemble that's ventured the world while remaining rooted in El Barrio, NYC. Hear from founder Juan Gutiérrez, long-time, and next generation members of this beloved NYC cultural institution. Ask your own questions and share your reflections to continue building upon our stories.

This program is made possible in part with funding from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Creatives Rebuild NY (CRNY), a project of The Tides Center, the Offices of NYC District 8 Council Member Diana Ayala, and generous contributions from individuals like you!
